For the vast majority of people acne is, thankfully, a temporary problem. Unfortunately, acne scars caused by breakouts can be permanent. Scarring results when the skin's tissue has been damaged. While you may not be able to completely prevent scarring, there are steps you can take to at least minimize the chance of scar development.
1. Treat acne as soon as it develops. The most effective way to avoid acne scarring is by preventing acne from developing into a more severe form. Don't wait to see if acne will go away on its own. Begin treatment right away, and see your doctor if your acne is unresponsive to over-the-counter treatments.
2. Avoid inflammation, if possible. Inflamed acne lesions are much more likely to cause scars than non-inflamed lesions. Avoid doing anything that may further irritate your skin. This may include aggressive scrubbing, harsh skin care products, etc.
3. Don't squeeze, pop, or pick at pimples. Squeezing a pimple can force debris deeper into the follicle, spread infection, and worsen a blemish. When you pick at the skin, it can cause acute inflammation and seriously damage the skin's tissue. Remind yourself that "popping" that pimple can extend the healing time and may cause a permanent scar. Allow the blemish to heal on its own.
4. Know if you are prone to scarring. The tendency to scar varies from person to person. If you are highly prone to scarring, you should see your doctor right away to discuss treatment options. He or she can help you with a treatment plan to help minimize the chances of scarring.
5. See your doctor if you experience large, deep breakouts, or cysts. Deep nodules or cysts often leave deep, permanent scars as the infection destroys skin tissue. A doctor must treat acne of this severity. Quick, effective treatment can help lessen the chance of developing deep scars.
------------
Acne scar is a major problem for everyone. So, before it happens avoid popping your pimples, let it cure on it's own because pricking it may cause scar. Visit your dermatologist to treat your acne to avoid deep scars.

Skin Food: Beauty within Food
We all love to possess a radiant glowing skin, thick lustrous hair, healthy nails & bright sparkling eyes. The food that we eat is of utmost importance to achieve this goal. Less water causes blotchy, dull skin & acne. Consume 7-8 glasses of water daily. Replace refined flour with whole grains as during the refining process, the Vitamin B, proteins and fibres are removed. A balanced diet of proteins, carbohydrate and fats with the required amount of minerals and vitamins is essential for good, healthy skin.
PROTEINS for beautiful skin
The proteins are needed for repair of body tissues. The skin and hair need enough protein and the deficiency causes dull and dry skin and scalp. Vegetarians specially need to plan their diets carefully to include protein rich foods such as soya beans, sprouts, cheese, milk, grains, peas & beans. Freshly made cheese from toned milk is an excellent source of protein for the vegetarians. Sprouted beans are enormously rich in nutrition as both the Vitamin B and C content increases as much as 40% during sprouting. If porridge sounds to drab, make it interesting by adding the fruit of your choice to it. Include yogurt in your meals. This dairy product contains bacteria which keeps intestines clean, giving a healthy glow to your skin.
CARBOHYDRATES for beautiful skin
Sugar is one of those carbohydrate rich food which has no value. On the contrary, it can cause acne, poor circulation and obesity. So instead of sugar, add brown sugar or honey to your diet. Both help purify blood and cleanse the body of toxins. Other refined carbohydrates like cause the problem are white flour and white bread in which the nutrients such as vitamins and fibre get removed during refining. These thus largely provide empty calories. Excess carbohydrate which is not needed to supply immediate energy demands, is stored as fat. So, avoid white bread etc, instead opt for brown bread and whole wheat flour chapattis.
Fat: You need very little fat, but a little is necessary for good circulation and supple & soft skin.
VITAMINS for beautiful skin
Adequate supply of vitamins are very helpful in maintaining a healthy and glowing skin; and preventing premature ageing.

Best Skin Care Tips for Men
For many men, skin care is not as important. Outside of the world of shaving their faces, it is rare for a man to spend time to his skin, especially the facial skin. However, taking care of your skin is important for your present and future. The skin is your body’s first defense against germs and diseases.
Furthermore, as we age, our skin loses its elastic nature. So, we get wrinkles and facial lines. So because of these reasons, taking care of our skin is important. These guidelines will allow you keep your skin in shape without and avoid spending your money on foolish products.
First of all, men should realize that taking care of your skin isn't going to occupy hours of your busy day. All you need is a couple of minutes each day. Check this out. Just wash your face with some mild soap, like ivory. Remember not to use a strong soap, like deodorant soaps, on your face. Use cold water to rinse.
Only a couple of times during the week, rinse your face with some warm water and Noxzema or any other type of cleanser Take a washcloth and wet it just a bit, and gently work in the cleanser in a circular motion. Your pores will be cleaned out and your skin will feel better. Don't forget to pat your face dry with a clean towel. To wrap it all up just put on some lotion such as a moisturizing or Aloe Vera lotion.
Daily components like the wind can dry your skin and it can even start to hurt. To prevent this, use some sunscreen if you know you're going to be outdoors for a long time. A SPF factor of 15 should suffice. Select a sunscreen that has aloe and moisturizers in it. Once your inside, put on some facial cream that has vitamin E. You can also apply this any time your face feels dry.
Shaving is always rough on your face, so get it done right. If blades are your pick, then always remember to coat your face with thin stream of warm water before you put on your shaving cream. Allow the cream a few minutes to settle in. Use a sharp razor that has a double blade attached to it. Take your time. Rinse with cold water, not hot. Putting on after shave works better than applying liquid. If you use an electric razor, put on pre-shave lotion to enable your whiskers to stand up and keeps your shaver gliding easily across your face. It will also lessen the irritation and burn that comes with electric shaving.
Eating right and getting active are clearly part of the equation. Eat more up on the fruits and vegetables, which often contain a good number of anti-oxidants that can delay skin damage. Take a multi-vitamin that is rich in anti-oxidants and vitamin E. Do your best to steer clear of greasy, fried food. Use olive oil in place of butter when you cook. It is healthier and, as some claim, will enable your skin to keep its elasticity longer.
Exercise will do more than simply get your heart rate going. It will clear your pores, increase your metabolism, and for the most part make you feel better about yourself. Sweating allows your inner body to cleanse itself.
Probably the easiest and best way to help your skin is to drink heaps of water every day. The majority of your body's cells are made of water, and it only makes sense to keep hydrated. Drink at least 64 ounces of water per day. Increase your intake if you are a drinker of beverages that dehydrate you, such as coffee, soda, and alcohol. If you like to drink alcohol, try to limit yourself. If you don't you're most likely to start getting some bad looking skin and less attention from the girls.
Using all of the above tips will not have you looking like a cover model overnight. However, your skin will look healthier and younger, and you'll feel good and confident about your appearance, which is a plus for getting girls.

Proper Skin Care Tips for Men
Skin care tips for men. Change the condition of your look for the better.
For many men, skin care is a mere afterthought. Beyond the world of shaving their faces, it is rare for a man to devote time to his skin, especially the skin on his face. However, proper skin care is essential for the present and the future. Skin is the body's first line of defense against sickness, germs, and diseases.
Additionally, as we age, our skin loses its elastic nature. Thus, we develop wrinkles and facial lines. For these reasons alone, proper skin care is important. These tips will help you keep your skin in shape without making you spend hundreds of dollars on products that promise "miracle cures."
To begin with, men should realize that proper skin care need not take copious amounts of time. A few minutes a day is all that is necessary. Wash your facial skin with a mild soap such as Ivory. Do not use a deodorant or strong soap on your face. Use cold water to rinse.
One or two times a week, wash your face with lukewarm water and a deep cleanser such as Noxzema. Use a slightly wet washcloth, and gently work in the cleanser in a circular motion. Your pores will be cleaned out and your skin will feel better. Always pat your face dry with a clean towel. Apply a moisturizing lotion or aloe vera lotion.
Everyday elements such as such and wind can dry your skin to the point that it hurts. To prevent this, wear sunscreen when you plan to be outdoors for an extended period of time. An SPF factor of 15 should suffice. Pick a sunscreen that has aloe and moisturizers in it. After being in the sun, apply a facial moisturizer that contains vitamin E. You can also apply this any time your face feels dry.
Shaving is always rough on your face, so do it right. If you use a blade, make sure that your face is coated with a thin stream of hot water before applying shaving cream. Give the cream a few minutes to settle in. Use a sharp razor that has a double blade attached to it. Take your time. Rinse with cold water, not hot. Applying after shave cream such as Afta works better than applying liquid. If you use an electric razor, apply pre-shave lotion to enable your whiskers to stand up and keeps your shaver gliding easily across your face. It will also lessen the irritation and burn that comes with electric shaving.
Eating a balanced diet and staying active are obviously part of the equation. Double up on the fruits and vegetables, which often contain many anti-oxidants that can retard skin damage. Take a multi-vitamin that is rich in anti-oxidants and vitamin E. Do your best to avoid greasy, fried food. Substitute olive oil in place of butter when you cook. It is healthier and, as some claim, will allow your skin to retain its elasticity longer.
Diligent practice of the above tips will not have you looking like a cover model overnight. However, your skin will look healthier and younger, allowing you to feel better about yourself.

Legs that you can stand on
Your legs are an important part of your body, and slim and shapely legs are every womans dream, especially if you live in shorts or miniskirts. Actually good legs add to the overall effect of any outfit. So it is best to concentrate on them during any beauty treatment or exercise programme.
Step out in style
Hair off!
The very first step would be to banish all traces of fuzz or unwanted hair. There are many ways to do this. You can shave, wax or use a depilatory. Whatever is most convenient. In the case of a depilatory, find out the good ones that are available in the market and do a skin test to see if you get an allergic reaction. Make sure that you follow the instructions carefully and if all is well, you could use it once every week, depending on your hair growth. But you must be careful not to use it immediately before or after your bath, because skin is always more sensitive after using hot water. As the pores are opened, any residue of the depilatory could get soaked in and harm the skin in the long run.
Waxing is one of the most popular methods, if you can stand the pull of hot wax. This can be done once a month or every six weeks, depending on your hair growth. This is one of the cleanest and most hygienic methods and leaves no residue. It is also known to decrease the growth of your hair over a period of time. You can get it done at a parlour or even learn to do it at home. But do not do this too often as it encourages ingrowth. The downside is that you will have to learn to live with a little fuzz until the hair grows long enough for your next wax.
Shaving is for those of you who live in shorts or skirts daily and require no fuzz 365 days of the year. As you know, it can be done every alternate day or even daily, right in your own home. But a word of warning, shaving is known not only increase hair growth but also to make it thicker and more course.
Tackle gooseflesh Smooth skin!
Waxing or shaving too often can result in gooseflesh or ugly goosebumps that spoil the beauty of shapely legs. So it is time to get to work with a loofah. Start at the ankles and work your way towards the top of the thighs with a rotary action using lots of soap. Dry your legs with a towel using a strong upward motion from your feet. Then massage in a good hand and body lotion or baby oil while the skin is still warm and the pores are open, so that the skin gets well nourished. Concentrate a little more on the knees and rough heels, as these require more attention.
You can also use 10 drops of sandalwood oil in 100ml coconut oil or olive oil and massage your leg or the entire body just before your bath.

Warts
What Are Warts?
Warts are tiny skin infections caused by viruses of the human papilloma virus (HPV) family. Although children get warts most often, teens and adults can get them, too. Sometimes warts are sexually transmitted and appear in the genital area, but most warts affect the fingers, hands, and feet.
Some people appear to be more susceptible to warts than others. In fact, some people never get them. Doctors aren't really sure why this is and think it may be that some people's immune systems make them less likely to get the virus that causes warts.
The viruses that cause warts are passed from person to person by close physical contact. Having a tiny scratch or cut can make a person more vulnerable to getting warts.
What Are the Signs and Symptoms?
If you find a small, hard bump on your skin that has a rough surface similar to that of a cauliflower, it's probably a wart. Warts can look pink, white, or brown, and can contain tiny spots inside that look like black specks. Warts can affect any part of the skin, but are most often found on the extremities — fingers, hands, and feet.
Warts are usually painless, except for those on the soles of the feet. These are called plantar warts, and if you have one it can feel like walking on a small pebble. Warts on the palms of the hands or soles of the feet may appear level rather than raised.
Sometimes warts can itch or bleed. They may also become infected with bacteria (from scratching or picking) and become red, hot, or tender.
Can I Prevent Warts?
There is no way to prevent warts, but it's always a good idea to wash your skin regularly and well. If you cut or scratch your skin, be sure to use soap and water because open wounds are more susceptible to warts and other infections.
It's also a good idea to wear waterproof sandals or flip-flops in public showers, locker rooms, and around public pools (this also can help protect against other infections, like athlete's foot). If you do have warts, don't rub, scratch, or pick at them or you may spread the virus to another part of your body or cause the wart to become infected.
How Long Before Symptoms Appear?
The length of time between when a person's exposed to the HPV virus and a wart appears varies, but warts can grow very slowly and may take many months to develop.
How Long Do Warts Last?
Warts are different in different people. In time, many warts disappear on their own.
With treatment, warts can usually be removed within a few weeks, but they may come back if the virus causing them stays in the skin.
When Should I Call a Doctor?
Although many warts disappear on their own with time, it's a good idea to show your wart to a doctor, who can recommend a treatment method if you need one.
If you discover a wart on your face or on your genital area, call your doctor. He or she can determine the best treatment for those areas, which are very sensitive.
How Are Warts Treated?
Warts can be treated in various ways, including:
* Over-the-counter medications contain acids that are applied to the wart. The acids are peeling agents that remove the dead skin cells of the wart and cause the wart to eventually fall off. Over-the-counter treatments shouldn't be used on the face or genitals without consulting a doctor first as some of them may cause damage to the skin.
* Cryosurgery (pronounced: kry-o-sur-juh-ree) is where a doctor freezes the wart with liquid nitrogen. This treatment is usually done in the doctor's office.
* Laser surgery may be used for warts that are hard to remove.
Within a few days after treatment by a doctor, a small wart will usually fall off, although you may need more than one treatment. Treatment may take longer for larger warts. Over-the-counter treatments may take longer than the doctor's office treatments, but they can be used as initial treatment on the hands or feet. Your doctor may also tell you to use over-the-counter treatments after you've had an in-office procedure.
What Can I Do to Help Myself Feel Better?
If you have a simple wart on a finger or toe, you can try to remove it with an over-the-counter medication. These include liquids or pads containing medication that work by chemically removing the skin affected by the wart virus.
Because these are strong chemicals, you should follow the directions and use them with care to prevent removing healthy skin. Keep the chemicals away from your eyes, and wash your hands thoroughly after treating the area.

5 Dry Skin Remedies For Your Shower and Bath
Banish Dry Skin with These Dry Skin Remedies
If you deal with dry skin on a regular basis, you might think it's a problem you'll always have to deal with. If that's the case, you're wrong! You may be committing some of the easiest skin care sins to fix.
Dry skin isn't mandatory, no matter the season or the location. There are easy things that you can change in your daily routine that will make a big difference to the health of your skin.
Follow these 5 dry skin remedies and see how quickly your skin makes a turn-around.
1. Watch the Temperature of the Water
If you're anything like me, you love a hot, hot bath. While it may feel relaxing, it's no good for your skin. Hot water will strip the moisture and oils out of your skin, leaving it parched, dry and scaly.
As hard is it may be, use warm water instead of hot water, and limit your bath to 15 minutes at the most. Showers, even less. You shouldn't have to wipe the steam off of the mirror when you step out. You'll notice that your skin is less dry if you play it safe and watch the time and temperature.
And as a side note, that hot water is going to make your hair frizzy and dry. It's best to rinse your hair in cool water.
2. Skip the Bubbles
Who doesn't love a bubble bath? It's something that most of us have grown up with, and many of us carry it on into adulthood. A few cap fulls of bubbles is almost a ritual. But, did you know that many of the bubbles you put in your bath will leave your skin stripped of the oils your skin needs?
Instead of using a bubble bath, find a soothing oatmeal or milk powder that will enhance your bath experience, and leave the oils where they belong. Another product you could try is a bath oil. A cap full of oil will leave your skin even more hydrated than before you hopped in, so you may be able to skip the moisturizer.
3. Skip the Shaving Mistakes
You probably have heard the age-old advice to shave in the direction of your hair growth for safe shaving. And while that's a nice thought, realistically most people shave in the opposite direction of hair growth to get the closest results.
If you want the safest shave, go with your hair growth. If you just can't follow that rule, make sure you follow these shaving tips:
* Use a moisturizing shaving gel or cream. The $1 bottle at the drug store is likely to leave your skin dry and more susceptible to nicks.
* Look for a product that offers moisturizing components such as aloe and essential oils.
* Skip the ones that have alcohol listed in their top few ingredients.
You can always use hair conditioner in a pinch for a close, nick-free shave.
4. Pat Dry, Don't Rub Dry
When you get out of the shower and grab your towel, gently pat the water off of your skin instead of rubbing your skin dry. This will save your skin the misery of "towel abuse" most men (and some women) hibitually inflict on their skin.
By patting dry (or gently rubbing), your skin will be able to retain more of the moisture you're going to seal in with our next step: body moisturizer.
5. Never Ever Skip the Moisturizer
The very most important step to remember is to moisturize every single time you get out of the shower or bath. It is never OK to skip, so find a favorite lotion, butter or oil and keep it in your bathroom.
When you skin has been dried off, it's important to seal in the moisture from the shower, and the quicker you do this after your shower, the better your skin will look and feel. And if you moisturizer of choice is a body oil, it's actually best to apply it to damp skin. Make sure you are careful for drops that might spill, oil will make your tub or floor very slippery.
---------
Dry skin is a big no, no. But sometimes you can't avoid having dry skin. Better apply lotion or skin moisturizer daily after every bath.

Oily Skin Care Tips
Natural Skin Care Help for Excess Oil
When oily skin is a problem, there are ways to help without breaking the bank and buying expensive products.
Oily skin can cause several skin problems, including blackheads, shiny skin, makeup that won’t stay on the face, and of course, acne. While there are other causes, oily skin is the most likely.
Many over-the-counter products are made to treat oily skin, but these contain harsh chemicals. Sometimes oily skin care products end up leaving the face dry and rough, which really only causes another set of skin care problems. Some products upset the delicate Ph balance of the skin or skin tone, not to mention that the chemicals in these products are harsh and just flat out may not be safe to use regularly.
When looking for a solution to oily skin, why not look for a more natural solution?
Essential Oils for Oily Skin
Citrus essential oils, such as lemon, grapefruit, tangerine and orange, can help with oily skin problems without the harsh effects of using the actual juice from the fruits themselves. Find an all-natural herbal lotion base and add 3 to 4 drops per ounce of the citrus essential oil of choice to the base. Use it on the face in the evening to help prevent oily skin.
Blackheads
Mix an oatmeal paste with unflavored oatmeal, lemon juice and olive oil, using just enough olive oil to wet the mixture. Scrub it onto the face to pull oil from pores and help reduce blackheads. Be sure to wash the face thoroughly with warm water afterward.
Shiny Skin
Mix some lemon juice with warm water and a dash of vinegar and then soak a cotton ball in the mixture and rub it on the face. Allow the skin to dry thoroughly without rinsing before applying makeup or other facial products. This will help reduce shine and may also help with excess sweating on the face that can cause makeup to slide off.
Excessive Sweating
Prior to applying makeup to the face, using a natural and non-scented delicate antiperspirant, such as Dove’s natural products, in the solid form can help with excessive sweating, help reduce shine and actually allow makeup to be applied more smoothly on the face.
Wash Face Gently
Do not overwash the face. Washing the face too frequently can actually cause the body to make more oil because it tricks the body into thinking the face and oil ducts are dry. When washing the face, avoid harsh soaps or chemicals, and settle for more natural alternatives or simply use warm water and a soft washcloth. Do not over scrub, but lightly and gently rub the face with the cloth.
Wear Oil Free Makeup or No Makeup
Wearing oil based makeup when oily skin is a problem only adds to the problem. Wear as little makeup as necessary to achieve the desired look. When wearing a liquid or cream foundation is desired, choose an oil-free foundation and finish with a powder to seal the foundation.
---------
Oily skin is a problem because you are more prone to have acnes. You can pervent it by following the tips above. You can surely have a beautiful, healthy and no more oily skin.

Vinegar use - Versatile and efficient
Vinegar use in skin care is widespread and very common.
Ranging from its use in hair rinse for restoring natural shine to vinegar skin recipes, vinegar restores, neutralizes, and prevents inflammations.use
Vinegar has acids that are very powerful in removing the dead skin cells off the skin’s surface. It unglues the dead skin cells held together by the oils and sloughs them off easily. It is also an excellent way to regulate the pH of the skin.
This also works in hair care as it removes the extra oil off the hair shaft and scalp, leaving the hair literary squeeky clean and restored. It doesn't smell bad, you might smell it while the hair is still wet, but the scent evaporates as soon as the hair is dry.
Simply shampoo and rinse the hair, and then mix a gallon of water with a cup of vinegar. Rinse the hair again.
Working as an antiseptic, vinegar use is apparent when the bacteria and impurities are present on the skin.
Not only it prevents infection, irritation, and inflammation of the skin, it refreshes is creating a protective layer that stops them from affecting the skin.
However, to be absolutely sure you can use vinegar, I recommend you apply some on the inner side of your lower arm, below the elbow and leaving it on overnight.
If redness and itching occur, do not use any of the recipes that contain vinegar. If there are no signs of irritation, you may proceed.
The best vinegar for skin care recipes is certainly apple cider vinegar as it contains alpha hydroxy acid which removes the “glue” that holds dead cells of the skin, penetrates the skin's deepest layers and thus helps its nutrition.
Don’t look for a cheap brand, it is important you buy good quality apple cider vinegar, preferably organic as it will provide the best results.
Baking soda and vinegar are sometimes combined to neutralize the pH of the skin, vinegar and honey also. All these vinegar skin recipes are effective and prepared in minutes.
Important!
In order to dilute the vinegar, use distilled water. Also, when preparing any liquid recipe (facial tonic, lotion, etc.), I find very beneficial to pour it into a glass bottle and freeze it for 24 hours. When you are ready to use them, take the bottle out and keep it refrigerated at all time.
Never use it undilluted!
--------
Wow! That's very interesting. As we all know, vinegar is used only in cooking, but now you can use it as your beauty regimen.

Scoops for Bath Salts
Baths are a great way to soothe the skin and eliminate stress, and having the right scoops for bath salts makes enjoying bath time that much easier. Using a scoop to measure your salts means you won't be using too little or too much in your evening ritual.
Bath Salt Scoops
Bath salts are great for people with sensitive skin because they don't contain all the chemicals, fragrances and artificial colors that traditional bubble baths do.
If you're really concerned about what is going into the products you use on your body you can make your own bath salts just with Epsom salt and some essential oils.
Bath salts are soothing (think about a foot soak in warm water and Epsom salts) and exfoliating, and are helpful in calming skin ailments, eczema and rashes. Taking a weekly (or even more frequent) bath with bath salts is a great way to unwind, reduce stress and help your skin. What could be better?
Choosing Scoops for Bath Salts
Scoops for bath salts are helpful because they can be used to break up the salt (which tends to get a little cakey as it absorbs moisture while being stored in the bathroom) as well as portion out the right amount for your bath.
Scoops most commonly come in wood or metal, and the choice is really up to your personal preference. If you have a very modern bathroom you might want to choose a metal scoop, while wooden scoops for bath salts are appropriate for a traditional bathroom or one with a country feel.
The good news is bath salt scoops are widely available and can even be purchased along with the bath salts for added convenience, as with the bath salts at Herbal Garden.
If you want to purchase a bath salt scoop separately because you make your own bath salts or you just want to be a little eco-friendly by buying one and reusing it, here are some options for you:
* Le Melange has wooden scoops that hold a teaspoon, half a tablespoon and a tablespoon, as well as decorative shells that could be used as scoops (perfect for a bathroom with a beachy theme).
* The Chemistry Store has one tablespoon wooden scoops that can be purchased in singles, 10 scoops or 100 scoops. They also sell jars for holding bath salts.
* Mabel White sells plastic scoops for bath salts, which hold half an ounce and can be purchased in bulk.
The right scoop for you will depend on how much of the bath salts you need to put into each bath. A tablespoon measure is usually appropriate for most bath salt preparations, since one or two tablespoons of salt are usually sufficient to add to your bath.
Once you have a scoop in hand, use it to fill your baths and your salts will last longer because you're not touching them, potentially adding bacteria to the mix that will happily grow in the warm, damp environment of your bathroom.
Using Bath Salts
Bath salts are a great way to unwind after a busy day. Many bath salt products include aromatherapy aspects through the use of essential oils, which will further allow you to relax and unwind.
If you make your own bath salts you have an even better opportunity to add therapeutic fragrances and oils to your salts. For instance if you have body acne you might add a few drops of tea tree oil, which is an antiseptic and helps heal fungus as well as acne.
If you need to relax you can throw in a few drops of lavender, chamomile, cedar, jasmine, rosemary or sage to help your mind and body relax in the warm waters.
Some people take a bath every day, while others choose to make bath time a special occasion or a reward after a tough day or finally finishing a project. Whichever way you bathe, consider incorporating bath salts into your routine. Your skin will thank you.

Pimples on the Back of the Arms
The good news for those who are vexed by pimples on the back of the arms is that it’s more common than you think and 90 percent of the time, the unsightly bumps are easy and inexpensive to combat.
Dry Skin and Arm Pimples
By far the largest cause of pimples on the back of the arms is simply dry skin. While elbows get lots of attention with exfoliation and moisturizing, the upper arms do not. Only in summer, when they’re more likely to be moisturized with sunscreen, are they given any care. The skin on the upper arms is prone to collect dead cells, which in turn clog the follicles, thus leading to the little bumps. These bumps are not really acne, although they are acne-related.
Treating Back of Arm Pimples
If you have pimples on the back of the arms, the first thing you should try is scrubbing with a loofah, either before or during your shower, followed by liberal moisturizing. Since the pimples are usually brought on by a build-up of dead skin, simply exfoliating and then treating the skin is all that’s needed.
If your pimples are especially bad, you might want to try a stronger moisturizer. Amlactin 12% moisturizing cream is recommended by dermatologists for just this problem. Some pharmacists might dispense it without a prescription, but if you need to get a prescription, your doctor should be able to provide it without an appointment. This heavy-duty moisturizer is ideal for severely dry skin. Users report that it goes on like liquid silk and makes your skin feel heavenly. It can take two weeks to see serious improvement, but steady treatment and patience will get your arms back in sleeveless shape.
Exfoliation 101
Sometimes when a problem is unsightly and stubborn, you become impatient and over-scrub. Be gentle with your loofah and use circular motions, rather than scrubbing up and down. If the skin is still irritated, leave the loofah for a few days and just use an alpha-hydroxy based lotion instead. If you’re really inflamed, a one percent cortisone cream will help, but try the lotions first.
Other Causes of Arm Bumps
Pimples on the back of the arms can also be caused by keratosis pilaris, a hereditary condition wherein keratin gathers on the skin. This is absolutely harmless and responds to the same treatment as dry skin – exfoliation and moisturizer. If this is the cause, however, you do need to be more assiduous about taking care of your arms to avoid further breakouts. Some people with keratosis pilaris suggest using a glycolic acid for exfoliation. If you do, be especially sure to follow with a good moisturizer, as glycolics, though effective, can be very drying.
Pimples on the back of the arms can also be brought on by hormonal shifts, which is why they can be so common in women of childbearing years. When hormones are determined to be the cause, a doctor might prescribe Metrogel, which must be applied two times a day and can take as long as three weeks before it begins to be effective, but then it will get the problem under control. Some people find that using the Metrogel in conjunction with Amlactin 12% produces even nicer results.
Other times, the pimples will be caused by a vitamin D deficiency. Since tanning is not healthy, try upping your intake of vitamin D either in supplement or food form before exposing your arms to a little more sun. Fortified milk, cod liver oil and fish such as mackerel and sardines all contain vitamin D.
Other Treatments for Arm Pimples
Besides the above, people have found some other cheap and effective treatments for pimples on the back of the arms. Clearasil Vanishing Cream is reported to be fast and effective when used twice a day. Flaxseed oil is also effective and provides a number of other health benefits, as it moisturizes your skin from the inside. Remember, the better you treat your skin, inside and out, the better it will look and feel!

Exfoliation is the best answer to prevent pimples on your face, at your back and on your arms. You can use loofah or srubs, it cleanses off dead cells in your skin.

Acne and Pimples : Prevention and Treatments
Pimples are tiny skin lesions or inflammations of the skin. They are commonly caused by clogged or infected pores. They may appear as deeper lumps (cysts or nodules) on the face, neck, chest, back and sometimes shoulders.
Severe acne can affect many facets of a person's life, causing a great deal of embarrassment and stress. Some severe forms of acne like acne cysts may rupture and cause scars that can result in psychological effects on the sufferer. Having skin full of pimples and zits may significantly limit one's social life. Although acne is not considered to be a life threatening disorder, the psychological impact of acne can be quite profound as it affects the most visible parts of your body.
If your acne condition is severe it can cause disfiguring and require years of treatment. In such cases seeking the help of a qualified dermatologist will be your best option.
What Causes Pimples & Acne
Pimples usually develop after blackheads or whiteheads have become infected.
There are oil glands on your chest, face and back numbering in the thousands. In fact, between the nose and cheek areas there are as many as two thousand oil glands every square inch. The function of these oil glands is to lubricate the skin by producing oil, or sebum. Oil that is produced in the glands flows through follicles or tiny ducts to the surface of the skin. It usually starts far beneath the surface of the skin. A blemish (or internal lump) begins about 2 to 3 weeks before it appears on your skin's surface. Acne first begins to form in your sebaceous hair follicles. You know this as "pores", the tiny holes on you skin. Deep within each hair follicle, sebaceous glands generate sebum, the oil that keeps your skin soft, moist and pliable. As part of your skin's renewal process the old cells die and are shed off. Normally, this cell shedding process happens gradually, and fresh new skin takes its place.
But sloughing (the process where living tissue is separated from dead skin tissue) is not the same for everyone. Some people shed cells evenly while others don't. The result of uneven sloughing is that dead cells become sticky, clogging together to form a plug, similar to a cork in a bottle. This plug traps oil and bacteria inside the follicle.
The trapped oil begins to form a lump as your skin continues its normal oil production. Your body's natural defense system then sends an army of white blood cells to attack the bacteria. The whole process takes around 2 to 3 weeks, resulting in a pimple.
Many teenagers experience pimple outbreaks. It is at this time that the skin attempts to adjust to hormonal changes that occur during puberty. There is a tendency for most people when seeing a 'ripe' pimple try to pick or squeeze it. This will cause further damage to your skin as germs or bacterias from your finger tips can cause inflammation and scarring as a result. The risk of infection is also increased. Most times, when acne is ignored, it can leave visible scars on your skin.
Acne Treatment and Prevention
If left untreated acne can be a serious problem. Chris Gibson, who was once a chronic acne sufferer, found a scientically proven way to permanently clear his acne problem. In fact he cured his acne in 3 days without any harsh prescription drugs or over-the-counter products. In this well researched book Chris revealed the fast and easy way to get rid of pimples.
Once your acne improves or clears, you may need to continue your acne treatment regime to prevent new acne breakouts. In some cases, you might need to use a topical medication on acne-prone areas. You can also prevent new acne breakouts with simple self-care measures, such as washing your skin with a gentle cleanser and avoiding touching or picking at the problem areas.
For pimples that are persistent, consult your dermatologist for an antibiotic solution to be applied to the surface of the skin or an oral antibiotic. Using antibiotics as acne treatment functions to suppress bacterial growth thereby reducing the recurrence of persistent acne.
If you are considering an acne treatment, it's important to get sound information from a reputable source so you know what to expect. Healthy Skin Portal leads you into a range of skin care treatments with details on the top skin care clinics in your area.

You can get rid of acne and pimples by always cleaning your face and you can always ask your dermatologist if he can prescribe you some medications for it.
